Resumen
This study used a pre-experimental design and a quantitative applied technique. The objective is to implement a model based on lean manufacturing to increase productivity in the production area of an SME. A non-probabilistic convenience sampling was used, and the population comprised the entire production process, serving as a sample the production process of the file cabinets. The data collection technique was observation, and the tools used were the observation sheet and check list. On the other hand, an inferential test of the data was carried out using the Shapiro Wilk and Wilcoxon tests by means of SPSS software. It was concluded that the implementation of a model based on lean manufacturing increases productivity in an SME, since it was demonstrated that its productivity increased from 41% to 61%.
