Resumen
This empirical study addressed the evaluation of the impact caused by the implementation of a mobile application as a supporting tool to optimize the sales process of a business entity located in Cajamarca, Peru. Previously, the company used to carry out this process manually, resulting in prolonged waiting periods and dissatisfaction among its clientele. In order to mitigate this issue, the integration of a mobile application was undertaken, employing the Waterfall methodology, which consists of five phases: project planning, requirement analysis, development and implementation, testing, and post-implementation promotion and monitoring. Initially, the application originated as a webpage on the WordPress platform, later adapting to a WebView in the Android environment. The obtained numerical results reflect a positive impact generated by the mobile application on the company's sales process, manifesting as a 56.45% reduction in response time, along with a 58% increase in total sales and a 55% rise in the number of clients, compared to the previously employed manual method. Consequently, it can be inferred that the mobile application constitutes an effective tool in supporting the sales process carried out by the respective business entity.
