Resumen
The objective of this study was to analyze the characteristics of methodological aspects of graduate theses on educational quality in Colombia, Panama, and Peru, three Latin American countries. A systematic review of theses from repositories was used, following inclusion and exclusion criteria for their retrieval from the PRISMA 2020 checklist. This allowed for the creation of a purposive sample. Information was collected using document collection forms and processed using the analysis matrix. The results showed that theses frequently revolve around accreditation and educational quality; regarding the approach, design, method, and techniques and instruments for data collection and analysis, theses differ significantly from country to country. Meanwhile, regarding hypotheses, Peruvian quantitative theses formulated them, unlike Colombian and Panamanian mixed or qualitative theses, which did not formulate hypotheses in their emerging project designs when stating research questions or during data analysis. These results, in a time of necessary internationalization of the University, reveal the scarce links and cooperation in terms of research policies in the aforementioned Latin American countries.
