Resumen

Our following pages condense the study and results of the project: Cenotaphs on the coastal roads of Peru. Observation and historical analysis of the mortuary reminders on the margins of the Panamericana Norte highway (Lima - Trujillo) 2021. Project approved by the Ricardo Palma University, on August 24, 2021 in the agreement of the University Council Agreement No. 1668 - 2021 -virtual. This labor is part of a long-range observation, with the intention of understanding from the field of social sciences and from the angle of history, one of the mortuary manifestations contained in our daily life and of constant materialization and constant reproduction in various regions of our country, from the 20th century to the present day. We refer to the cenotaphs placed on the borders of highways, our analysis takes as an example a section of the Panamericana Norte highway, between the cities of Lima and Trujillo, with the intention of beginning the observation of the social sensitivity and imaginary that is constituted in the face of sudden death on the highways shaped by the affected community, revealing one of the social manifestations in the face of death.
