Resumen

High blood pressure (HBP) is a globally significant health condition that affects a large number of people worldwide. This study presents an innovative approach for the early detection and continuous monitoring of HT using a mechatronic methodology. The guidelines of the Association of German Engineers (VDI-2206) were selected as the framework for the development of the system. The proposed device consists of a customised garment, such as a polo shirt, equipped with pulse, temperature and position sensors strategically placed on the wearer's body. The collected data is transmitted in real time through an electronic circuit controlled by an Arduino Uno to a centralised database. This data is accessible by medical professionals for analysis. The results obtained show the effectiveness of this approach in monitoring ETS, including the accurate measurement of heart rate and body temperature, as well as the identification of the user's position. This provides a comprehensive view of the patient's health and enables early detection of potential cardiac problems. In addition, a significant reduction in physician workload is observed by automating part of the monitoring process.
