Resumen
The article explores the “maieutic fecundity” that may exist between alterity and ipseity in the final study of Paul Ricoeur’s work Oneself as Another. It analyzes how the dialectic between the personal dimension and alterity can enrich the understanding of the person. Through an analysis of the work of Ricoeur, and following the criteria offered by the Italian philosopher Armando Rigobello, it is shown that this dialectic is coherent and productive, leading to an enriched ontology of the human being. The research emphasizes that alterity is not only essential in the constitution of personal identity but also offers a new perspective on the reality of the person, revealing a deeper and more complex understanding of the human being in its interaction with the other.
