Resumen
Management skills are essential for the development and prosperity of rural enterprises, they contribute to short-term success and lay the foundations for their long-term sustainability and growth. The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between management skills and sustainability of rural enterprises in the Junín region in Peru. The research process was based on the quantitative paradigm, relational level and non-experimental design. The study sample includes 192 entrepreneurs from 11 Organized Economic Agents and 6 productive chains in the region. For data collection, the Management Skills Scale and the Entrepreneurship Sustainability Questionnaire were adapted and validated, with content validity coefficients of 0.924 and 0.937 and McDonald’s Omega reliability of 0.914 and 0.887, respectively. The results indicate significant (<0.001) and medium positive correlation (0.485) between the proposed variables. It is concluded that rural enterprises in the Junín-Peru region with better management skills show a higher level of sustainability in their business practices, and vice versa. © (2024), (Universidad del Zulia).
