Resumen
Objective: The objective of this study is to investigate the management of knowledge nurturing in the ayllu of Amantani, Peru through the description of the paths of knowledge nurturing in the ayllu of Amantani and the classification of the contexts in which such nurturing takes place. Theoretical Framework: Theoretical foundations on the pathways of knowledge upbringing in different cultural contexts. Method: The methodology was qualitative with a classic ethnographic design. Interviews were conducted with the inhabitants of the ayllu, including children, youth, adults and elders, as well as wise paqus. In order to obtain knowledge, we applied the following instruments: an interview form, an observation form and a field notebook. Results and Discussion: The results showed eleven forms of knowledge upbringing: "phujllay", "watching only I learn", "doing only I learn", "watching and doing I learn", "thinking only I learn", "this way, this way it is done", "the hand knows", "the yachay or knowledge of the deities", "the knowledge of nature", "revealed knowledge", "oral tradition and memory". In addition, it was found that the nurturing of knowledge in Amantani is based on a worldview of balance and correspondence between human beings and nature. All the elements of the environment interrelate, nurture and care for each other. Originality/Value: This case study of the Amantani ayllu shows the richness and diversity of ways of thinking, learning and relating to the natural and social environment that exist among indigenous peoples.
