Resumen

I n t r o d u c t i o n . T h e p r e v a i l i n g environmental factors in the inter-Andean valleys and the coastal region of Peru have favored the increase in production and exports of mango (Mangifera indica L.) to more than 30 countries in the last two years, in this process the support Phytosanitary has been and will continue to be of the utmost importance, however the presence of the species Aulacaspis tubercularis, an invasive pest of the crop, is a limiting factor regardless of the variety of the crop; Its control is with broad-spectrum insecticides that contaminate and degrade the environment and there is no information on successful control. Objective. The effectiveness of pesticides with low environmental impact on the incidence and mortality of the species A. tubercularis was determined. Materials and methods. The products evaluated were commercial detergent, mineral oil, azadirachtin, and potassium soap. In the field, sprayed on the crop with a frequency of every seven days and in the laboratory on the colony/bottle individuals. Results. It was revealed that the four evaluated products significantly reduced the colonies in the field and showed efficiencies of up to 95 %, 89 %, 77 % and 68 % respectively during the first three moments of application. Under laboratory conditions, the commercial detergent treatment and azadirachtin exerted the greatest control (100 %) in four days of evaluation. Conclusions. The tested products offer a good alternative for the control of white scale in mango crops.
