Resumen
Images from sensors onboard satellite platforms allow global knowledge of any region of the earth’s surface, providing speed and precision in environmental studies, and being a viable data source to apply in various areas. This work presents an analysis of satellite images used in hydrology and agriculture in the period 2006-2021. A systematic study was carried out, using the publications of the last 15 years in the Scopus, Scielo, Science Direct, and Scimago databases. 18 articles were selected and focused on the research topic. From the analysis of results, it was concluded that the important role played by satellite images is evident in allowing high-precision monitoring and characterization of aspects related to the design and planning of planting, and location of surface water sources. Being more used satellite images LANDSAT ENVISAT, SPOT, QUICK BIRD, GRACE, MODIS, IKONOS, KOMPSAT, SENT.
