Resumen

The linguistic landscape is established as a fundamental instrument for the visibility and recognition of languages in the territorial spaces where they are used and represented. On this basis, the present study aims to describe the linguistic landscape of the institutional signage of the Circuito Mágico del Agua, a tourist site that includes orientational, regulatory, and ornamental signage resources presented in more than two languages. Methodologically, a mixed approach (qualitative and quantitative) is adopted, based on the description of the signs through image analysis and tables. The results reveal a clear predominance of Spanish and English, as well as, in many cases, the absence of the Quechua language, which allows the signage to be interpreted as an institutional device that reproduces linguistic hierarchies and forms of symbolic exclusion. In conclusion, the study highlights the need for a more inclusive and equitable language planning that takes into account the multilingual reality of the country. © Los autores. All rights reserved.
