Peñalver Higuera M.J.; Navarro Vega E.A.; Rodríguez Alegre L.R.; López Padilla R.D.P. · Revista Venezolana de Gerencia (2026) · DOI: 10.52080/rvgluz.31.113.25

Resumen

This study analyzed the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the teaching and learning process of Doctoral Law students at a university in Trujillo during 2024, contributing to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education. The general objective was to determine how AI influences the academic and professional training of doctoral law students. The research adopted a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design, allowing for an in-depth understanding of students’ experiences and perceptions regarding AI. The study population consisted of 15 doctoral students selected through theoretical-intentional sampling. The findings indicated that AI optimized access to information and personalized instruction, facilitating the development of analytical skills. However, risks such as technological dependency and potential impacts on critical thinking were identified. It was concluded that the effective implementation of AI in legal education requires a balanced integration with traditional methodologies, faculty training, and ethical regulation. These measures will ensure that AI complements, rather than replaces, the training of jurists with strong competencies and independent thinking.
