Resumen
This study sought to determine the relationship between digital literacy and participation in collaborative virtual environments among students at a private university in Lima, Peru. A quantitative approach, correlational level, and non-experimental design were used. The population consisted of 480 Education students, and the sample consisted of 214 participants selected through simple random sampling. A survey technique was used, with a questionnaire as the instrument. The descriptive results showed that digital literacy predominated at the low level (60.3%) and participation in collaborative virtual environments at the poor level (63.6%). The inferential analysis showed a positive and significant correlation (Spearman = 0.617; p = 0.000). It is concluded that digital literacy and collaborative participation maintain a direct relationship, which demonstrates that digital development is associated with higher levels of academic engagement in virtual environments.
