Resumen
In higher education, learning styles are a key factor in student academic performance and integration. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between learning styles and gender and age among students at the Technical University of Manabí, Ecuador. A quantitative, descriptive, and correlational methodology was used, with a non-experimental and cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 379 students selected through non-probability sampling. Data collection was conducted using the CHAEA questionnaire, and analyses were processed with SPSS to ensure statistical validity. The results indicate that the pragmatic learning style predominates in the study population, demonstrating a generalized inclination toward methodologies based on the practical application of knowledge. Significant differences were identified by age, with younger students preferring dynamic approaches, while older students tend toward structured and reflective methods. In contrast, no significant differences were found based on gender, suggesting a homogeneous distribution of learning preferences. It is concluded that the pragmatic style is predominant, with significant differences according to age, but not according to sex. © Licencia de Creative Commons Atribución 4.0 Internacional (CC BY 4.0) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/deed.es
