Resumen

This research aims to explore the quality of educational services and learning outcomes as predictors of academic satisfaction in university students. It investigates how these dimensions contribute to academic satisfaction, considering the imperative need to optimise teaching processes and support infrastructure and the competencies developed during the student's education. The methodology used is a quantitative explanatory approach using a non-experimental sectional design. We surveyed 555 undergraduate students from various degree programmes at a private university in Arequipa, Peru. We used an instrument designed to include digital competencies, social responsibility, professional and personal competencies, quality of teaching and academic resources and support. The most important result shows that professional and personal competencies have a positive and significant relationship with academic satisfaction, highlighting the critical importance of these competencies in higher education. Likewise, the quality of academic resources and teaching had the highest coefficients in the analysis, highlighting their substantial influence on student satisfaction. It is concluded that the quality of educational services and learning outcomes are strong predictors of academic satisfaction, generating motivation and perception of relevance in the training received both for the professional environment and for society in general. These results reinforce the need for universities to adopt a holistic approach that fosters diverse competencies and continuously improves the quality of educational services to optimise the student experience and satisfaction.
