Resumen
Decision making in organizations is carried out under various criteria, with utilitarian or pragmatic purposes. Decisions are intended to solve problems, investigate the cause of problems or change environmental conditions; they are called rational, post-rational or meta-rational decisions. The decision criteria derive from the determining and consequent elements of the organizational culture and their effects are directed towards the social system or the technical system of the organization. In the work of analyzing and improving the processes of operating systems, systematic, quantitative and convergent techniques and tools are used, but the direction and management of organizations represents complex problems where structured criteria are insufficient, and new diffuse and soft criteria must be assumed that consider emotions, empathy, pleasure, as well as values, principles, norms, framed under the general name of ethical decisions when conflict arises in the face of options of high economic benefit with social or ecological harm. The objective of the study is to propose the influence of values in decision making with profitability criteria and with ethical criteria in the environment of complex organizations. The results show the influence of the environment on the way values are learned.
