Cuenca R.; Pérez A. · Magis (2025) · DOI: 10.11144/javeriana.m18.daal
Resumen
This study examines the evolution of inequality in the educational attainment of primary school students in Latin American using an adjustment of the Gini coefficient. It uses the results of the last two editions of the Regional Comparative and Explanatory Study for primary school students in grades 3 and 6 for 2013 and 2019. The analysis shows an overall improvement in learning in Latin America, accompanied by increased inequalities. This increase in average scores has not guaranteed a more equitable distribution of learning.
