Resumen
Information and communication technologies (ICTs) play an essential role in the knowledge society and, therefore, should be adapted to curricular objectives within the framework of sustainable development as learning and knowledge technologies. The objective of this study was to analyze the use of these technologies and the development of soft skills within the context of sustainability, according to postgraduate students from two Latin American countries. The study was conducted using a mixed-methods approach with a sequential quantitative-qualitative design. The results showed that learning and knowledge technologies should be implemented more extensively in continuing education or basic education programs. This implies providing technological tools for learning and knowledge construction from the beginning of schooling and throughout professional life to meet job demands. The emphasis on the development of soft skills is more pronounced at the postgraduate level, which prevents the establishment of a strong foundation for education for sustainable development from the outset of schooling. In conclusion, this calls for curricular innovations. © Licencia de Creative Commons Reconocimiento-NoComercial- CompartirIgual 3.0 Unported. http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/deed.es_ES
