Resumen
The research presented aimed to identify the degree of the relationship between leadership and job satisfaction within a supermarket. Accordingly, this study was conducted using a quantitative approach with a correlational, non-experimental design. The population consisted of 14 employees; therefore, the entire population of the supermarket was selected as the sample. A questionnaire based on the Likert scale was used as the data collection instrument. Subsequently, Pearson's statistical test was applied, revealing a significance level of 0.00 and a high correlation coefficient of 0.796 between leadership and job satisfaction among the supermarket’s employees. When analyzing the dimensions of job satisfaction, as defined by [30] and used in the specific objectives, a moderate correlation was found between leadership and task significance (r = 0.538). Similarly, a moderate correlation was observed between leadership and working conditions (r = 0.557). Furthermore, a high correlation was found between leadership and economic benefits (r = 0.793). Therefore, it was concluded that an increase in leadership among supermarket employees would lead to greater task significance, improved working conditions, and enhanced economic benefits.
