Resumen
Currently, the right of women to receive an education is a reflection of the series of struggles for their rights to equality, difference and the treatment of their feminine condition, which has merited overcoming various obstacles, such as misogyny, marginalization, hypersexualization, violence in all its manifestations, prejudices and the oppressive look of the excluding alterity. In the Latin American and Caribbean context, women have had to find spaces within higher education, signifying a break with global hegemonic schemes, in addition to the racial and patriarchal impositions of the regional sui generis context. In this sense, the scenarios characterized by competitiveness, classism, discrimination, isolation, continue to be a pending struggle for the Latin American feminist movements, who conceive that the dismantling of the university, more than a theoretical matter, means breaking with the prevailing normative patterns, with violence and with symbolic and real control over women.
