Knowledge management model to support university self-evaluation processes; [Modelo de gestão do conhecimento para apoiar processos de autoavaliação universitária]

Castrillón E.P.; Carvajal J.F.M. · Revista Lasallista de Investigacion (2024) · DOI: 10.22507/rli.v21n2a3497

Resumen

Introduction: in the self-evaluation processes carried out by universities for their continuous improvement or for purposes of accreditation or qualified records, difficulties often occur that impact the validity of the results due to deficiencies in the organization and systematization of information and structures. for data management. Objective: design a knowledge management model for self-assessment and documentation for qualified registration and accreditation purposes in higher education institutions. Materials and method: an investigation was carried out with a mixed approach using interviews, a survey and a survey, which included a moment of conceptual analysis of knowledge management and institutional diagnosis carried out with qualitative and quantitative techniques and a propositional phase that achieved a model of knowledge management for self-assessment processes and the development of computer tools with the same purpose. Results: it was possible to explore functions and foundations of different knowledge management models, concluding that the adoption of a particular context implies understanding its scope based on the information needs and structural characteristics of the organization. A knowledge management model was composed with 10 strategies integrated into the groups of socialization, explicit memory and technological capabilities, explaining in each one how it is carried out and what can be achieved. Six software prototypes were developed consisting of a system for the knowledge management model, a simulator, a productivity matrix of the investigative function, an evaluator of the qualified registration process, an application for research groups and another for archiving and searching. © (2024), (Corporacion Universitaria Lasallista).
