JOSÉ ANTONIO SULCA EFFIO, HARAWIYUQ: POETIC MINIMALISM ANDTHE THEME OF VIOLENCE

Relucé G.E. · Metafora (2024) · DOI: 10.36286/mrlad.v3i6.201

Resumen

This work proposes a reading of poetic minimalism and the theme of violence in the Quechua poetry of José Antonio Sulca Effio (1938-2023). It presents the author’s poetic itinerary, focused on what would be the creators of the 1960s of the 20th century, with the Javier Heraud group in the city of Ayacucho (Peru); it also explains why the Ayacucho poets opted for Quechua writing in the 1990s. Our research postulates that José Antonio Sulca's Quechua poetry is linked to the Andean tradition, which is characterized by its minimalism and poetic structure, which reveals the imprint of love, the effects of violence and the representation of the musuq wakcha (new poor) in the context of the Internal Armed Conflict (CAI) at the end of the last century. The article focuses its analysis on the collection of poems Chirapa Wiqi/Arco Iris de Lágrimas (2012).
