Resumen
This research aimed to determine the effect of Jatropha macrantha on coagulation and bleeding times in rats. 20 individuals divided into four treatments were used: a negative control and three experimental ones. Coagulation and bleeding times were measured with a 1/100 second digital stopwatch. The dose of the extract of 300 mg/Kg of weight presented the shortest clotting time (p <0.05), and with the dose of 100 mg/Kg of weight the bleeding time was significantly reduced (p <0.05) compared to the control group.
