Resumen
The study was based on determining whether there is a relationship between emotional intelligence and transformational leadership in employees of the distribution area of a company in Chiclayo. It focused on understanding how the development of these skills can help to manage challenging situations during deliveries to customers. A quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational approach was used, in which previously validated questionnaires were applied to 150 collaborators. The data collected were analyzed with SPSS v.029 software. The results of the descriptive analysis were presented in tables, while the inferential analysis included hypothesis tests, Spearman's Rho correlation coefficient was used to evaluate the relationship between emotional intelligence and transformational leadership. The value obtained (0.146) indicated that there is no significant correlation between the two variables, which led to the rejection of the alternative hypothesis and the acceptance of the null hypothesis. In conclusion, it was found that the dimensions of emotional intelligence presented medium levels among the collaborators, while the dimensions of transformational leadership showed high levels.
