Gowda V D.; Shuja M.; Lezama C.R.Q.; Kumar P.S.V.V.S.R.; N S. · Secure Energy Optimization: Leveraging Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence for Enhanced Efficiency (2025) · DOI: 10.1002/9781394271849.ch6

Resumen

IoT technology has revolutionized the possibility of storage, control, and use of energy through energy storage systems (ESS). This chapter looks at the major issues and opportunities that are characteristic of IoT integration in energy storage systems. It discusses advanced concepts such as the incorporation of renewable energy into the electricity grid and the growth of systems that smartly and effectively reduce cybersecurity threats and are economically sustainable. In this chapter, the author is extremely elaborate with real-world reference scenarios of how IoT can advance the usability, dependability, and productivity of ESS in various settings such as urban smart grids, off-grid solar farms, industrial facilities, and electric vehicle charging stations. Concretely, through the literature review of the current progress and prospective developments, this chapter offers insights helpful to researchers, practitioners, and policymakers wishing to maintain IoT for the sustainable and safe use of storage systems for energy.
