Resumen
The Inventory management performance can be measured by inventory turnover. The Peruvian textile industry presents an unfavorable performance as it is located with the weakest index of the manufacturing sector. The present research is carried out in a textile company in Metropolitan Lima whose diagnosis indicates that inventory turnover in 2020 was below the average of the sector and industry, due to the high level of inventory due to canceled orders and overproduction that generated an overrun of 5% of the value of goods sold. In this sense, the application of the S&OP process is proposed, focused on demand planning and integration of areas, and a supply plan based on the MRP, in order to increase turnover to at least 4 times per year, which corresponds to the minimum number of times that a product with seasonal demand should rotate.
