Aldoradin L.F.P.; Aliaga A.D.S.; Espinoza J.M.V. · Proceedings of the LACCEI international Multi-conference for Engineering, Education and Technology (2024) · DOI: 10.18687/leird2024.1.1.471

Resumen

This systematic review addresses how advanced technologies are redefining inventory management strategies in various industries. We explore traditional methodologies such as Just-in-Time and Economic Order Quantity, highlighting their effectiveness in reducing costs and improving operational efficiency. However, the main focus is the transformation driven by ERP, IoT and Artificial Intelligence systems, which have revolutionized accuracy in demand predictions and resource management. Despite progress, we face significant challenges such as resistance to change and the need for substantial investments. This study highlights the critical importance of adapting strategies to specific contexts and developing an innovation-oriented organizational culture. With a narrative that combines technical analysis and practical strategy, this review invites us to delve deeper into how emerging technologies can be optimized for more efficient and effective inventory management.
