Peña-Asenjo S.; Castañeda-Chinchay D.; Fontenla-Gambini L. · Proceedings of the LACCEI international Multi-conference for Engineering, Education and Technology (2023) · DOI: 10.18687/laccei2023.1.1.122

Resumen

This is a correlational, cross-sectional research study, with a quantitative approach, and a non-experimental design, where the poor production planning in a textile company in San Juan de Lurigancho was identified as a problem. In this regard, the following question was formulated: To what extent are inventory management and production planning related in a textile company in San Juan de Lurigancho, 2021? Then, in order to analyze the relationship between Inventory Management and Production Planning variables, 2 questionnaires were developed and applied. These were used with 34 employees of the company under analysis, with 16 questions, 8 items for the Inventory Management variable, and 8 for Production Planning, using the Likert scale. To determine the validity and reliability of the data collection instrument, these were subjected to a reliability analysis by Cronbach's alpha coefficient and the results obtained were 67% for the inventory management questionnaire and 66% for the production planning questionnaire, determining that the instruments are very reliable. Finally, the data were statistically analyzed and the results were transferred to tables and figures, where the hypotheses were tested with the Spearman's Rho statistical test, allowing us to conclude that there is a significant relationship of 0.832 between the variables under study.
