INTERSECTORAL STRATEGIC AXES BASED ON THE NATURAL LANDSCAPE AND BUILT HERITAGE TO PROMOTE TOURISM IN THE TERRITORY OF PUERTO ETEN

Samamé Y.G.; Chozo O.M.V.; Aparicio J.C. · Devenir (Peru) (2026) · DOI: 10.21754/devenir.v13i25.2002

Resumen

The Peruvian coast, with an extension of 3,080 km and crossed by 53 Andean rivers, includes the coastal border of the Lambayeque region, which covers 165 km and is home to outstanding cities such as Pimentel, Puerto Eten, San José and Santa Rosa. The present research focuses on the cultural and natural wealth of Puerto Eten, examining urban transformations and disinterest after the agro-export boom. The methodology used is based on territorial geography. Layers or phenomena are analyzed and superimposed to identify key elements on the Lambayeque coast. Intersectoral strategies are proposed that take advantage of the heritage and tourism potential of Puerto Eten, promoting a stable, diverse territory with memory. These strategies position Puerto Eten as a satellite city with interest in the value of its built heritage, landscape and culture, improving the interaction between humans and the environment and highlighting its coastal landscape.
