Resumen
Due to the importance of obtaining an appropriate estimate of internal consistency, and the integration of useful psychometric procedures in the measurement of personality, the present study aims to evaluate the consistency reliability of the Eysenck Revised Personality Questionnaire (EPQR). The participants were 115 young adults from Lima, university students. The EPQR of 83 items was applied, from which the scores for the full version were derived, and the brief versions of 48 and 24 items (EPQR-S and EPQR-A, respectively). The coefficient KR20 was calculated with Horst modification, the standard direct and conditional standard error of measurement. The results indicate that the Extraversion (E) and Neuroticism (N) scores show an adequate level of reliability, while P and L tend to show low coefficients. The short versions show the lowest estimates, especially EPQR-A. It is concluded that the EPQR may require restructure in the P and L scales.
