Resumen
Peru is a plurinational, multilingual and multicultural country, which includes the geographical regions of the coast, highlands and jungle. This research shows the progress of intercultural communication in the media. It is very important to detail the role played by indigenous communicators, from radio, television and their different platforms, in order to reach their Ay-mara, Quechua and Amazonian language-speaking listeners and viewers. The contribution of the state and the private sector should be noted. As a result, news programmes in Aymara and Quechua Jiwasanaka-Ñuqanchik, Ashi Añane in Asháninka and other programmes in native languages were created. The Network of Indigenous Communicators in Peru, Servindi, and international and regional media are also considered. Therefore, this study is proposed to be carried out in order to strengthen linguistic and cultural diversity. © Los autores.
