Resumen
The integration of social communication and occupational safety in industrial production is essential for ensuring efficiency and security, particularly in papermaking. In Peru, banana rachis (Musa paradisiaca) represents a significant agricultural waste with environmental impact. This study optimizes sodium hydroxide (NaOH) concentration (1%-6%) to convert banana rachis into high-quality paper. A total of 66 samples of banana rachis were analysed, evaluating physical and chemical properties such as weight, thickness, and cellulose content, following TAPPI T-UNE 57 048 standards. The study determined that treatment with 5% NaOH was the most effective, achieving 22.8% cellulose, which enhances paper quality. The final product exhibited high absorption capacity (74.03%) and tensile strength (0.1433 kg/15 mm), meeting industrial parameters. In addition to advances in sustainable production, the study incorporates communication management and workplace safety, elements are not analysed in experimental paper manufacturing research. The combination of these factors strengthens sector competitiveness and contributes to economic and environmental development. Copyright
