Resumen
This study proposes the design and implementation of an automated attendance registration system based on RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology, aimed at optimizing academic management through automation, traceability, and real-time synchronization of records. Using an applied and experimental approach, the model integrates an RFID reader connected to a mobile application and a cloud server, enabling automatic attendance registration with centralized storage and monitoring. The experimental validation was conducted by comparing two scenarios: traditional manual registration and the automated system. The results showed a 77.6% reduction in the average registration time per student (from 11.84 s to 2.65 s, p < 0.001) and a 93.4% decrease in report availability latency (from 46.78 min to 3.06 min, p < 0.001). Both variables displayed a normal distribution and statistically significant differences, confirmed by Shapiro-Wilk tests and paired Student's t-test. These findings validate the effectiveness and reliability of the proposed system, demonstrating that the integration of RFID in educational environments reduces administrative workload, improves record accuracy, and promotes the digital transformation of academic processes.
