Integration and development of intracommunity trade in the Andean Community of Nations

Resumen

The Andean Community of Nations was created in search of integration and commercial development of the member countries, having among its goals the promotion of balanced, harmonious and equitable growth, using as tools integration, socio-economic cooperation, active employment generation, and improve the path to regional integration, gradually developing the creation of a Latin American market. The objective of the study is to describe the impact of the commercial integration of the Andean Community of Nations. The research is descriptive and interpretive, with a narrative design of topics. As a result, it was obtained that the Andean Community of Nations went through different situations during the process, created and applied policies and mechanisms to advance integration and establish itself as an Andean common market, however, some crises in the block prevented it. It is concluded that despite having gone through two stages, free trade zone and customs union, these were not properly implemented due to the political and economic differences of the governments; however, the elimination of tariff barriers and the application of a Common External Tariff has had a positive impact on the development of intra-community trade, reflecting a growth of 10 times more the value of trade. © Licencia de Creative Commons Atribución 4.0 Internacional (CC BY 4.0) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/deed.es
