Integrating resilience and social sustainability in textile supply networks: A hybrid fuzzy AHP–DEMATEL approach

Yoplac F.; Matos K.; Ramos E.; Khan S.A.; Pimentel V. · Cleaner Logistics and Supply Chain (2026) · DOI: 10.1016/j.clscn.2026.100329

Resumen

This study holistically integrates Supply Chain Resilience (SCRes), Socially Sustainable Supply Chain (SSSC), and Supply Chain Integration (SCI) to address the growing sustainability challenges in the textile sector, characterized by high volatility and social pressures. Based on Complex Adaptive Systems theory and using a systematic literature review, this research identifies critical factors for enhancing resilience. These factors are validated through expert judgment and analyzed using a fuzzy hybrid approach that combines the Analytic Hierarchy Process and the Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory. The results show that integrating resilience, social sustainability, and integration not only reinforces operational stability but also facilitates the adoption of socially responsible practices throughout the supply network. This research offers a comprehensive and practical framework that expands the current understanding of supply chain resilience and provides strategic insights for improving the performance and long-term social sustainability of textile supply chains from an emerging context perspective. This approach helps practitioners and policymakers prioritize social equity and integration as core drivers for building more resilient and sustainable industrial supply networks in volatile environments.
