Innovation Networks – A New Market Access to the Mining Sector in Peru

Resumen

Peru is considered one of the ten richest countries in resources in the world and currently occupies an important place in the production ranking. The country is home to numerous mining companies that are increasingly focused on the innovation of technologies and processes, which has improved the competitiveness of the industry. The objectives in Peruvian mining in this development are to increase efficiency in production, in the use of energy and other resources, as well as to increase occupational safety, reduce costs and prevent accidents. To ensure the longterm competitiveness of Peruvian mining, there are some innovation initiatives for mining in Peru. By bringing together mining companies, suppliers, universities and government organizations, the aim is to promote the establishment of an ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship.
