Resumen
Knowledge transfer is defined as a collaborative process in which universities, Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), businesses, and society at large play a crucial role. This new pa-radigm redefines the relationships between higher education, the community, and its tangible needs, enabling more fluid interaction and faster, real-time responses. However, challenges such as the knowledge gap and the commodification of knowledge continue to intensify, demanding new mechanisms to support universities. The research methodology employed is documentary exploration. The study concludes with the need to foster collaborative networks, make effective and efficient use of ICTs, and substantially improve knowledge transfer as a means of economic and social develop-ment.
