Resumen
The objective of this research was to analyze information management strategies to strengthen scientific production in social work, reviewing the planning and control processes as key processes that support the storage, organization and use of data with the support of technology. The research is of an exploratory systemic type, under an epistemic approach that examined the integrity, availability and confidentiality of information, constituting means of construction and validation of scientific knowledge; a sample of 43 students of the tenth cycle of the Professional School of Social Work of the National University of Trujillo-Peru was used. The results show: a) the critical construction of theoretical frameworks, from planning processes with high scientific rigor; b) academic information management strategies are reinforced from ethics, establishing processes of systematization of classified and processed information; c) progress is made in the development of stages to extract, combine and distribute information with the use of technology. It is concluded that the reciprocal interrelation between planning and control processes supports information management processes for scientific production in social work from complex databases that are identified from the use of technology and data digitalization processes.
