Resumen
Today's organizations demand employees capable of continuous learning, rapid adaptation, and efficient performance in structured and demanding environments. In this context, coaching style has become a key tool for strengthening personal resources related to job performance. The objective of this study was to analyze how coaching style influences adaptive and task performance in employees of large Peruvian companies, considering the role of learning orientation and self-efficacy. The study employed a quantitative approach with a non-experimental, cross-sectional design, using a structural equation model to evaluate the proposed relationships. A total of 287 employees were surveyed, and the data were processed using PLS-SEM. The results show that coaching style strengthens learning orientation and self-efficacy, and that both significantly explain adaptive performance. However, task performance depends solely on learning orientation, while self-efficacy and adaptive performance do not show significant effects. The proposed mediations were also not confirmed. In conclusion, personal resources drive adaptability, but operational performance requires additional factors specific to the organizational environment Licencia de Creative Commons Atribución 4.0 Internacional (CC BY 4.0) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/deed.es
