Influence of petrominerographic characteristics of limestone rocks on calcium oxide production, Bambamarca 2021

Resumen

The purpose of this research work is to determine the influence of the petrominerographic characteristics of limestone rock in the production of calcium oxide. The methodology is based on field and laboratory work, also by data provided by the owners of each of the lime companies. The work was carried out based on 1 limestone rock sample per company, a total of 5 samples from the lime companies of Bambamarca for the realization of two studies, one petrographic and the other geochemical. The results of the petrominerographic analysis identified the most favorable zones for the production of quicklime, and also identified which formation contains the best purity of calcium oxide.
