Resumen
This study examines how entrepreneurship contributes to job creation worldwide between 2021 and 2025. Searches were conducted in Dialnet, ProQuest, Scielo, and Web of Science, using inclusion and exclusion criteria consistent with the IMRD structure. Forty studies met the standards: 32 empirical papers and 8 systematic reviews. Evidence indicates that entrepreneurship acts as a catalyst for employment generation through startups, SMEs, and social enterprises. Its effects are moderated by factors such as policy, finance, education, and digitalization. Although the magnitude of the impact varies across regions, the overall contribution to employment is consistently positive. The findings underscore the need to strengthen entrepreneurial ecosystems as a pathway to create sustainable and higher quality jobs.
