Resumen
This research examined how Artificial Intelligence (AI) influences the academic performance of students in Peruvian universities. A quantitative methodology was adopted, with a basic research approach and non-experimental design. Data was collected through a survey applied to a sample of 313 students. The results obtained through confirmatory factor analysis, structural equation modelling (SEM) and multiple linear regression show that there are significant relationships between five dimensions of AI and academic performance. The results are clear: students with a positive attitude towards AI, a good understanding and knowledge of AI, confidence in training, a positive social impact and a good understanding of safety and risk have a positive impact on their performance. There is no significant relationship between attitudes towards AI teaching, ethics and responsibility, and economic impact on academic performance.
