Resumen
Given its adaptability and versatility, Erythrina edulis Triana ex Micheli is an important species in the development of agroforestry systems, for which in vitro propagation provides an alternative for rapid multiplication. The objective of this study was to establish a protocol for the in vitro propagation of E. edulis using nodal segments. Nodal segments were obtained from sterilized and in vitro germinated seeds, and they were placed in rooting media, using a modified MS basal medium at half nitrogen source, supplemented with a combination of 1 mg.L-1 naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA) plus 0.5 mg.L-1 in-dolebutyric acid (IBA) and 1, 3, and 5 mg.L-1 IBA. The use of 5 mg.L-1 IBA recorded the highest averages regarding root number and length, and seedling acclimatization exhibited a survival rate of over 90%. This study constitutes the first report for the in vitro propagation of E. edulis. © (2026), (Universidad Distrital Francisco Jose de Caldas). All right reserved.
