Resumen
This Systematic Literature Review focuses on Lean Six Sigma tools for their implementation in the metalworking sector industries. The purpose of this review is to determine the most appropriate Lean Six Sigma tools to improve production processes in metalworking companies. The recent scientific literature on Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools was reviewed, focusing on those most used and that have demonstrated greater benefits for metalworking companies in terms of productivity and reduction of time and waste. The literature search was carried out in 3 scientific databases (Scopus, EBSCOhost, and Scilit), and after applying the PRISMA strategy, 40 relevant documents were obtained for the review. It was evident that Lean Six Sigma tools are useful for reducing time and waste, improving production processes. These tools positively impact performance, reflected in the improvement of productivity and quality of manufactured products. Although 5S is the most used in the metalworking sector, the results found suggest that 5S and SMED are the most effective tools to improve production processes in this industry.
