Resumen
This work was prepared with the purpose of determining the impact of an improvement plan for an LPG distribution company, which was achieved by applying industrial engineering tools such as preventive and corrective maintenance, MRP, and inspection sheets and control charts. These tools were used to minimize the impact of the various problems that were found in the company thanks to the comprehensive diagnosis carried out. The main problems found in the production process were high transportation costs in the distribution process, lost profits due to poor production planning and the high rate of defective products. The activities lasted 68 days with a total cost of S/ 3,150.00 Likewise, the company was able to reduce its costs by S/ 3,736.09 compared to the initial total which was S/ 57,571.09. Finally, thanks to an economic evaluation, it is observed that the NPV is S/10,265 and the IRR is 61%, which demonstrates that the project is viable for the company studied. © CISCI - Simposium Iberoamericano en Educacion, Cibernetica e Informatica 2024.
