Santos Gonzales C.E.; Rodríguez Castañeda A.X.; Berrospi Mendieta E.J. · CISCI - Conferencia Iberoamericana en Sistemas, Cibernetica e Informatica (2024) · DOI: 10.54808/cisci2024.01.90

Resumen

The main objective of this study was to evaluate the impact of a proposal to improve logistics management on operating costs in a machine marketing company in Trujillo in 2023. The implementation of this proposal reduced operating costs of S/. 223,018.50 to S/. 85,649.70. The main causes of cost overruns were identified as the lack of inventory of materials, inadequate management of suppliers, disorganization and lack of cleanliness in the warehouse, and the absence of training in the logistics area, causing an annual economic loss of S/. 223,018.50. In response, an improvement plan was proposed that included the maximum and minimum method, more efficient supplier management, a training program and the 5S methodology, generating a total benefit of S/. 137,368.80. The economic evaluation of the proposal for improvement in logistics management proved to be viable. The results obtained were: a Net Present Value (NPV) of S/. 13,154,018, an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 53.1%, a Cost Benefit Ratio (B/C) of 1.20 and an Investment Recovery Period (PRI) of 13.15 months. © CISCI - Simposium Iberoamericano en Educacion, Cibernetica e Informatica 2024.
