Resumen
Peruvian companies have increased the sale of online clothing, and there is evidence of low customer satisfaction due to the quality of the products received compared to those offered. The reason for this growth is the country’s situation that forced many companies to change their way of doing business to survive. The objective of this research is to implement an augmented reality system to improve user experience when purchasing clothing online from a Peruvian company. The waterfall methodology was used, which consists of six (6) phases: initiation, planning, analysis, design, implementation, and testing. To obtain the results of the research, a satisfaction survey was applied to 80 customers and the Rho Spearman correlation was used for the measurement, which yielded a result of 0.769, indicating a high positive correlation between the variables of augmented reality and online sales. In conclusion, the implementation of a mobile application of augmented reality significantly improves the user’s purchasing decision in the process of online sales of clothing Peruvian company. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2026.
