Resumen
The review of articles focuses on the application of Lean Manufacturing tools aimed at continuous improvement and applied in order to minimize waste in the production process of companies, generating value for the product and the organization; since companies face different problems by not having adequate installed capacity, such as poor infrastructure planning, distribution and untrained personnel, this causes waste to be generated in any company considering; overproduction, waiting times, inventory, movement, transportation, defects and over processing. The objective of the research based on a systematic review of the literature, seeks to analyze small and medium-sized companies in the industrial sector that apply the Lean Manufacturing methodology and what impact its application had on waste reduction and process improvement. Showing that the use of Lean tools such as 5S, Kanban, VSM, Poke yoke, TPM, Kaisen and JIT reduce waste in a range of 9.6% to 97.71% improvement. For this reason, an RSL was proposed to understand how Lean Manufacturing practices can increase operational efficiency and minimize waste in companies, especially in SMEs.
