Resumen
This research assessed the impact of “Phet” Virtual Simulations on the information analysis competence of fifth-year high school students in Elementary Physics. Participants were divided into two groups: the Experimental Group (EG), which used the simulations, and the Control Group (CG), which followed traditional methods. In the EG, a significant decrease in the starting level was observed, decreasing from 67.4% to 10.9% in the Post-Test. The process level remained stable (21.7% in both Pre-Test and Post-Test). The achieved level experienced a notable increase, rising from 10.9% to 60.9%. In the CG, the starting level decreased from 71.7% to 37% in the Post-Test. The process level increased from 17.4% to 39%. The achieved level increased from 10.9% to 24%. These findings suggest a substantial improvement in information analysis competence with the use of “Phet” Virtual Simulations.
