Resumen
This paper presents a literature review on the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in public safety systems. The main objective is to analyze existing solutions and identify their limitations in terms of performance and effectiveness. Five representative systems were examined, including one web-based system, two mobile applications, and two hybrid approaches. The analysis focused on their purpose, system design, reported outcomes, and identified shortcomings. The results reveal that some systems, particularly the web-based and one hybrid solution, exhibit limitations related to low system visibility and reduced efficiency in user interaction and response. These findings highlight the need for improved design strategies to enhance usability and system performance in public safety applications.
